Served with the 2nd Air Force, 40th Bomb Group, 58th Bomb Wing, XX Bomber Command. 20th Air Force in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations and briefly with the 8th Air Force on Okinawa in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.
