Inducted at Fort Dix, New Jersey in June of 1944. Infantry Replacement Training Center at Camp Blanding, Florida, July to October 1944. Member of the 63rd Infantry Division in the European Theatre of Operations. Spent 60 days in combat, February 15th to April 22nd. Served in France and Germany with the 7th Army. Received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, 3 Campaign Stars, Presidential Unit Citation in 1945. Army of Occupation until June 1945 and then discharged at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
