Hammond Incorporated. Did some battle maps for the Army Map Services. Chief Draftsman and lie drafted most of the maps. In fact the officials of the Army contacted him to see how he got his lines so fine, which they could not do. He explained that by grinding the pens down, it gave the line the thinness needed. He also helped as an Air Raid Warden, had a Victory Garden, gathered lead, brass, casings and bought War Bonds. Disabled from polio at age 16.
