Activity During WWII

Served as a Crew Chief on the P-61 (Black Widow) Night Fighter, assigned to the 9th Air Force, 422nd Night Fighter Squadron in the European Theater of Operations. He also completed twelve Combat Missions as a Radar Observer, participating in the Battle of Bulge, Northern France, Central Europe and the Rhineland Campaigns. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars.
