SERVED WITH THE 94TH INFANTRY. LEFT FOR EUROPE IN AUGUST OF 1944. CONTAINED GERMANS IN LORIENT, FRANCE UNTIL NEW YEAR'S EVE THEN LEFT FOR THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE. BATTLED GERMANS AT THE SIEGFRIED LINE THEN ATTACHED TO PATTON'S ARMY AND THE RACE FOR THE RHINE RIVER CROSSING. AFTER THE GERMAN SURRENDER, WENT TO CZECHOSLOVAKIA, ARMY OF OCCUPATION, ACROSS FROM THE RUSSIAN ARMY. SHIPPED HOME AND DISCHARGED DECEMBER 26, 1945. RECEIVED FOUR BATTLE STARS, COMBAT INFANTRYMAN BADGE, BRONZE STAR, EXPERT RIFLEMAN BADGE AND OTHER EUROPEAN ACQUIRED MEDALS.
