Activity During WWII

Captain; he began his career at sea in 1943 aboard the John Ainsworth. He served as Master of vessels during WWII in the Pacific and Atlantic. He was master of the John A. Johnson, a vessel sunk due to enemy action on October 29 in the Pacific Ocean. His final voyage was aboard the Java Mail in 1966.
