SERVED IN THE 38TH DIVISION, 149TH INFANTRY. WOUNDED AT LEYTE BEACH, PHILIPPINES. RETURNED TO PHILIPPINE HEADQUARTERS COMPANY, 38TH DIVISION, 149TH INFANTRY. WHILE SERVING ON THE C-47 DROPPING SUPPLIES TO 149TH INFANTRY, THE PLANE CRASHED; HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION. AWARDED THE PURPLE HEART. SERVED 1942-1945.
