Activity During WWII

Served as a combat corpsman, 26 months in Southwest and Western Pacific from Guadalcanal through the Solomon Islands to New Guinea, then north to the Philippines, Leyte Island and Lingeyan Gulf. From Noumea, New Caledonia up to Guadalcanal, attached to the 1st Marine Amphibious Corps (MAC) 1st Marine Division. Through the Solomon Islands, attached to the 3rd Marine Division. From New Guinea through the Philippines, served aboard LST-469.
