ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE ON 8 APRIL 1943. AFTER TRAINING AS AN AIRPLANE POWER PLANT MECHANIC SPECIALIST, DEPARTED THE CONTINENTAL U.S. ON 18 DECEMBER 1944 FOR GUAM ISLAND. SUPPORTED THE WESTERN PACIFIC AIR BATTLES AND THE AIR OFFENSIVE AGAINST JAPAN. AWARDED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH 2 BRONZE BATTLE STARS, THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL AND THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL. HONORABLE DISCHARGE FROM THE 1505TH ARMY AIR FORCES BASE UNIT AS A CORPORAL ON 6 NOVEMBER 1945.
