ARRIVED OVERSEAS IN SEPTEMBER 1943; SERVED AS AN ARMY NURSE AT LILFORD HALL, ENGLAND. ASSIGNED TO THE 303RD STATION HOSPITAL, A 750-BED HOSPITAL THAT PROVIDED MEDICAL ATTENTION TO WOUNDED AIRMEN RETURNING FROM COMBAT. THE 303RD STATION HOSPITAL SUPPORTED THE 303RD BOMB GROUP AS WELL AS SEVERAL OTHER NEARBY U.S. ARMY AIR CORPS AIRFIELDS IN EAST ANGLIA. PERFORMED DUTIES FOR 17 MONTHS, UNTIL DEATH (DUE TO NON-BATTLE INJURY) IN JANUARY 1945.
