Served with the 339th Infantry. Medal of Honor recipient for his action in helping break the Gustav line in Italy, where he neutralized 6 bunkers and 2 pill boxes. Personally responsible for the death of 30 of the enemy and the capture of 25 others. He was later killed in action at Itri, Italy, while leading his platoon in an attack.
