TRANSFERRED TO THE SS PAN FLORIDA, TANKER. TRAVELED TO PEARL HARBOR, PANAMA CANAL, SOUTH AMERICA AND SAVANNAH, GEORGIA. ALSO, SERVED ABOARD USS MAYRANT DD402. AWARDED THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL INCLUDING A BATTLE STAR FOR OKINAWA, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, NAVY OCCUPATION SERVICE MEDAL AND WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
