KILLED IN ACTION ON FEBRUARY 7, 1945 IN VICINITY OF BECH, LUXEMBOURG. EARNED THE PURPLE HEART AND WAS ELIGIBLE FOR THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, THE EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH TWO BRONZE BATTLE STARS, AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. BURIED WITH HONORS AT THE LUXEMBOURG AMERICAN CEMETERY. HONORED ALSO AT THE WWII MEMORIAL IN FLORA, ILLINOIS.
