PRIVATE 1ST CLASS WITH THE 142ND INFANTRY REGIMENT, 36TH INFANTRY DIVISION. KILLED IN ACTION ON JUNE 3, 1944 DURING THE ROME-ARNO CAMPAIGN. AWARDED THE SILVER STAR AND PURPLE HEART MEDALS POSTHUMOUSLY AND WAS ENTITLED TO THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, THE EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH AT LEAST ONE BRONZE BATTLE STAR, AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. BURIED WITH HONORS AT SICILY-ROME AMERICAN CEMETERY, NETTUNO, ITALY.
