Activity During WWII

Entered the U.S. Army November 17, 1942 at Indianapolis, Indiana. Stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia until December 1944. Sent to Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe and was assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, 305th Engineer Combat Battalion. He was qualified as a rifle sharpshooter and his military occupation was an auto mechanic. Sent home December 27, 1945 with the rank of Corporal, Technician 5th Grade. He earned the American Theatre Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with 3 bronze stars, Good Conduct medal and WWII Victory medal.
