Activity During WWII

Enlisted June 4, 1940, Fort Benning. 83rd Field Artillery Horse Drawn. Was in Battalion D, 20th Field Artillery, then Company A, 654th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Went to Northern Ireland in October 1943 and then to England in Spring of 1944. Went to Omaha Beach between D-Day and the first of July. Attached to 35th Infantry Division, 3rd Army. After Battle of the Bulge, the 9th and 15th Army. Telephone Lineman, Switchboard Operator, Radio Operator Radio Maintenance, Communication Chief. Discharged in July 1945.
