CHIEF ELECTRICIAN'S MATE. ASSIGNED TO THE USS SEALION SS-195, SERVING IN THE PHILIPPINES. KILLED ON DECEMBER 10, 1941 DURING A JAPANESE BOMBING RAID ON THE CAVITE NAVY YARD, WHERE THE SEALION WAS NEARING THE COMPLETION OF AN OVERHAUL. EARNED THE AMERICAN DEFENSE SERVICE MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH 1 STAR, PURPLE HEART, WWII VICTORY MEDAL, PHILIPPINE DEFENSE RIBBON AND COMBAT ACTION RIBBON.
