He served in WWII as a Navy Seabee from April 15, 1943- November 4, 1945. He served In the South Pacific Theater of Operations in the 92nd U.S. Naval Construction Battalion that operated in Saipan and Tinian. Ratings Held: CM3C; CM2C; CM1C (T). He earned the Navy Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Honorable Service Lapel Pin (Ruptured Duck), Honorable Discharge Button/Ribbon, Navy Marksman Rifle and Insignias Seabee.
