Served in the Pacific aboard the USS Lexington, then on USS Enterprise CV-6, in battles of Midway and Coral Sea. Was assigned to the USS Lexington upon enlistment in December 1939, sunk in May 1942. Crossed the equator the second time aboard the USS Enterprise CV-6.
