PRIVATE FIRST CLASS. COMPANY C, FIGHTING 69TH COMBAT ENGINEERS. STATIONED OVERSEAS IN ENGLAND, FRANCE, BELGIUM AND GERMANY. ALSO SERVED IN ARMY OCCUPATION AFTER THE WAR IN GERMANY. MET THE RUSSIAN ARMY AT THE ELBE RIVER AND AT LEIPZIG TO TAKE OVER TERRITORY FROM THE GERMANS. RECEIVED THE AMERICAN THEATER RIBBON, EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN THEATER RIBBON WITH 2 BRONZE STAR, GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL AND WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLE DISCHARGE ON FEBRUARY 23, 1946.
