DEPARTED THE CONTINENTAL U.S. ON MAY 25, 1945 BOUND FOR THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS. SERVED WITH HEADQUARTERS BATTERY, 435TH FIELD ARTILLERY BATTALION. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A TECHNICIAN 4TH GRADE ON AUGUST 12, 1946 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, FORT SHERIDAN, ILLINOIS.
