DEPARTED THE CONTINENTAL U.S. ON 14 SEPTEMBER 1945 BOUND TO THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS. ASSIGNED TO COMPANY D, 29TH BATTALION, 6TH INFANTRY REGIMENT. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A PRIVATE ON 20 DECEMBER 1945 AT JEFFERSON BARRACKS, MISSOURI.
