Activity During WWII

Flew C-47 cargo missions from India to China (the Hump) and combat missions in Burma. Survived a torpedo attack in the Bay of Bengal in April 1945, while returning home by ship. Received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart and the Air Medal.
