AT AGE 42 ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE IN THE MEDICAL CORPS ON 26 JUNE 1942 AS A PHYSICIAN, MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY OF OBSTETRICIAN AND GYNECOLOGIST (D310B). ATTENDED THE INDUSTRIAL MEDICINE AND HYGIENE SEMINAR AT HILL FIELD, UTAH AND SERVED WITH THE 3706TH ARMY AIR FORCES BASE UNIT (BASIC TRAINING CENTER AND PILOT SCHOOL) AT SHEPPARD FIELD, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY SEPARATED FROM ACTIVE DUTY AS A MAJOR ON 23 MARCH 1946 AT THE ARMY AIR FORCES REGIONAL HOSPITAL, SAME STATION.
