DEPARTED THE CONTINENTAL U.S. ON 15 MARCH 1945 BOUND FOR THE EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS. FOUGHT IN THE CENTRAL EUROPE CAMPAIGN. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, THE EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH 1 BRONZE BATTLE STAR, THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL, THE ARMY OF OCCUPATION MEDAL (GERMANY) AND THE BELGIAN FOURRAGERE. HONORABLY DISCHARGED FROM THE 4TH CAVALRY RECONNAISSANCE TROOP (MECHANIZED) AS A CORPORAL ON 4 AUGUST 1946 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, MARYLAND.
