SERVED STATESIDE WITH THE 2123RD ARMY AIR FORCES BASE UNIT (FLEXIBLE GUNNERY SCHOOL) AT HARLINGEN ARMY AIR FIELD, TEXAS. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A SERGEANT ON FEBRUARY 2, 1946 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, PATTERSON FIELD, OHIO.
