ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS SQUADRON, 301ST FIGHTER WING BASED AT CLARK FIELD, LUZON, PHILIPPINES. WOUNDED BY ENEMY ACTION ON 20 JULY 1945. EARNED THE PURPLE HEART MEDAL, THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH 1 BRONZE BATTLE STAR, THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL AND THE PHILIPPINE LIBERATION MEDAL WITH 1 BRONZE STAR. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A CORPORAL ON 26 NOVEMBER 1945 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, FORT SHERIDAN, ILLINOIS.
