Activity During WWII

Served with Army Infantry, Company C, 81st Chemical Mortar Battalion. Served in Normandy Invasion, landed on Omaha Beach June 6, 1944; Normandy, Rhineland, Central Europe, Northern France, and Ardennes. Company C fought blooded battles in Hedge Rows. Attacked Hill 192 June 15, 1944. A concussion grenade (Potato Masher) exploded near his head, knocked him down, caused bruises, severe headache, and ringing in his ears which continues to this day.
