Activity During WWII

Served in the European Theater. Part of the 450th Bomb Group, B-24 Liberator in Manduria, Italy in 1945. Awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with 5 Battle Stars, the Air Medal, the WWII Victory Medal, the American Defense Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. Entered on August 23, 1943 and received an honorable discharge on December 31, 1945 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Participated in the following battles and campaigns: the Northern Apennines, Po Valley, Rhineland, Central Europe and Northern Italy.
