ASSIGNED TO RECEIVING STATION SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA; NAVAL TRAINING SCHOOL GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS; NAVAL HOSPITAL SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA; NAVAL TRAINING SCHOOL NAVY PIER, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS; NAVAL HOSPITAL GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS, RECEIVING STATION PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA; NAVAL HOSPITAL PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA; AND THE BROOKLYN CLASS, LIGHT CRUISER USS BOISE CL-47. EARNED THE COMBAT ACTION RIBBON (AWARDED RETROACTIVELY IN 1999 BY CONGRESSIONAL LEGISLATION), GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH THREE BRONZE BATTLE STARS, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH THREE BRONZE BATTLE STARS, WWII VICTORY MEDAL AND THE PHILIPPINE LIBERATION MEDAL WITH TWO BRONZE BATTLE STARS. SERVED VARIOUSLY AS A FIREMAN SECOND CLASS, FIREMAN FIRST CLASS AND WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A WATER TENDER THIRD CLASS ON DECEMBER 16, 1945 AT THE NAVAL PERSONNEL SEPARATION CENTER, SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI.
