ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE AS A DRAFTEE ON FEBRUARY 16, 1943 AT CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. COMPLETED BASIC TRAINING AND QUALIFIED IN THE MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY OF MEDICAL TECHNICIAN. DEPARTED THE CONTINENTAL U.S. ON JUNE 26, 1945 BOUND FOR SERVICE WITH THE 310TH GENERAL HOSPITAL ON TINIAN, MARIANA ISLANDS. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A TECHNICIAN 5TH GRADE ON DECEMBER 16, 1945 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, JEFFERSON BARRACKS, MISSOURI.
