DEPARTED THE U.S. ON DECEMBER 2, 1944 BOUND FOR THE PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS. ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH HEADQUARTERS COMPANY, 3RD BATTALION, HEADQUARTERS SERVICE GROUP, GROUP HEADQUARTERS, AFPAC (ARMED FORCES IN THE PACIFIC). PARTICIPATED IN THE NEW GUINEA, SOUTHERN PHILIPPINES AND LUZON CAMPAIGNS. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH 3 BRONZE BATTLE STARS, WWII VICTORY MEDAL AND THE PHILIPPINE LIBERATION MEDAL WITH 2 BRONZE BATTLE STARS. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A SERGEANT ON MAY 15, 1946 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, JEFFERSON BARRACKS, MISSOURI.
