Honorably Discharged in 1945. Received a Purple Heart for injuries occurring in The Northern European campaign. He also suffered other wounds. Additional medals and ribbons were given for his outstanding contribution to the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. A life long member of the 83rd Infantry Division in WWII. This was a band of military brothers who remained close throughout the war.
