ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE AS A DRAFTEE ON MARCH 4, 1943 IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. SELECTED FOR THE CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE, COMPLETED BASIC TRAINING AND QUALIFIED IN THE MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY OF MILITARY POLICEMAN (677). DEPARTED THE U.S. ON JANUARY 2, 1944 BOUND FOR THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS. ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH 1244TH MILITARY POLICE COMPANY (AVIATION). EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A CORPORAL ON JANUARY 23, 1946 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, JEFFERSON BARRACKS, MISSOURI.
