ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH THE 10TH SPECIAL NAVAL CONSTRUCTION BATTALION AND CONSTRUCTION BATTALION DETACHMENT NUMBER 1081 OPERATING IN HAWAII AND THE PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A CARPENTER’S MATE SECOND CLASS ON NOVEMBER 16, 1945 AT THE NAVAL PERSONNEL SEPARATION CENTER, BREMERTON, WASHINGTON.
