COMPLETED BOOT CAMP AND SEABEE TRAINING AT THE NAVAL TRAINING AND DISTRIBUTION CENTER, CONSTRUCTION BATTALION TRAINING COMMAND, CAMP PEARY, WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA. ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH THE 92ND NAVAL CONSTRUCTION BATTALION IN THE PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A SEAMAN FIRST CLASS ON JANUARY 31, 1946 AT THE NAVAL PERSONNEL SEPARATION CENTER, GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS.
