Amphibious landings; Sicily, Salerno, Italy, Southern France. Killed in Action in France while leading weapons platoon of Company G, 180th Infantry, 45th Infantry Division, Thunderbirds. He took my platoon into Southern France after I had been wounded on the drive out of Anzio.
