COMPLETED BOOT CAMP AT NAVAL TRAINING STATION, GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS AND STATIONED AT NAVAL AIR STATION, BUNKER HILL, INDIANA. SERVED OVERSEAS ABOARD THE INTERNAL-COMBUSTION-ENGINE REPAIR SHIP USS OTUS ARG-20. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A SEAMAN FIRST CLASS ON FEBRUARY 28, 1946 AT THE PERSONNEL SEPARATION CENTER, GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS.
