Sergeant. Entered the Army on February 1, 1943 and served in the European theater of Operations with the 29th Division as a gunner on a tank destroyer. Went from Private to Sergeant then back to Private several times during his service. His serial is number 32838843. He was awarded the Arrowhead medal for the Normandy Beach Landing, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 5 Battle Stars, Bronze Star Medal and the Highest Honor given to a serviceman from the Belgium Government. He was discharged October 1945.
