Activity During WWII

Trained at Camp Polk, Louisiana, left there on October 25, 1944 and arrived at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey, November 6, 1944. Left the States and arrived in England. Left Tidworth on January 4, 1945 for Le Havre, France. On February 2, 1945, began a 24-hour road march through Belgium. At Margraten, Holland assigned to 8th Armored Division, 9th U.S. Army, three Bronze Stars and Purple Heart. Battles and Campaigns: Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe. Served with Headquarters Company, 36th Tank Battalion, Chief of Section 2736.
