DEPARTED THE U.S. DECEMBER 30, 1946 BOUND FOR THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS. ASSIGNED TO COMPANY B, 519TH MILITARY POLICE BATTALION ENGAGED IN OCCUPATION OPERATIONS IN JAPAN. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A PRIVATE FIRST CLASS ON MARCH 20, 1948 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, CAMP STONEMAN, CALIFORNIA. EARNED THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL AND THE ARMY OF OCCUPATION MEDAL (JAPAN).
