Activity During WWII

Went into active duty in August 1943 and served to January 1946. He served as a Staff Sergeant. He was a Top Turret Gunner on B-24 with the 2nd Bomb Squadron, 22 Bomb Group, 5th Air Force in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He Flew missions from Rabaul to Japan including Celebes, Borneo, Philippine Islands, China and Formosa. He was awarded the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 8 Battle Stars, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, Japan Occupation Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal with Bronze Star.
