ENLISTED AND ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE ON DECEMBER 29, 1941 AT CHICAGO, ILLINOIS TO SERVE FOR THE DURATION. COMPLETED BOOT CAMP AND TRAINED IN THE MILITARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATION OF GUARD PATROLMAN. SERVED OVERSEAS IN THE PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS FROM MARCH 2, 1942 TO MAY 6, 1944. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A PRIVATE FIRST CLASS AND FROM THE CASUAL COMPANY, MARINE BARRACKS, QUANTICO, VIRGINIA ON OCTOBER 30, 1945. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
