Activity During WWII

Inducted into Federal Service with 29th Division Vanguard February 3, 1941. Trained at Fort Meade, Maryland. Transported to European Theater of Operations September 27, 1942. Was dispatched as Courier to North Africa where he was wounded, losing the sight in one eye. He was then returned to the U.S. where he was medically retired as Major.
