ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE AS A DRAFTEE ON AUGUST 3, 1945 AT CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. SELECTED FOR THE MILITARY POLICE CORPS, COMPLETED BASIC TRAINING AND QUALIFIED IN THE MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY OF MILITARY POLICEMAN (677). ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH THE 232ND MILITARY POLICE COMPANY OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL U.S. FROM JUNE TO AUGUST 1946. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A PRIVATE FIRST CLASS ON AUGUST 23, 1946 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, FORT SHERIDAN, ILLINOIS. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
