Served in the European theater. Was awarded an air medal, a Presidential Unit citation, The European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, The American Campaign Medal, and a WWII Victory Medal. Served as a NAVIGATOR IN THE ARMY AIR CORPS and was stationed IN ITALY, part of the 15TH AIR FORCE, 98TH BOMB GROUP, 415TH SQUADRON. entered service in july of 1943 and received an honorable discharge in november of 1945 with the rank of first lieutenant. after returning to the states he was made a navigator instructor for b29's previously serving on b24's.
