Activity During WWII

He was a combat medic with the 106th infantry division, 422nd Regiment; and was captured by the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge. He was imprisoned in Stalag VIII-A, briefly. Then marched by the Germans back across Germany, until liberated by U.S. forces. In 1948 he transferred to the Air Forces and retired in 1961.
