Entered Army in 1940. Retired from Military Service in 1962. Served in Africa, Cassino, Anzio was wounded in the break through to Rome. Suffered a skull fracture. He received the Purple Heart, Bronze star, Combat Infantryman Badge, Battle Star and Citation. He also fought in the Korean war. He went back to college and taught 7th grade History for 18 years.
