JAPANESE RECORDS TELL OF SIGHTING A SUBMARINE LEAKING OIL ON 28 SEPTEMBER. THIS SUBMARINE WAS SUNK BY BOMBS AND DEPTH CHARGES LOCATION: 9 DEGREES-47 MINUTES N, 121 DEGREES-44 MINUTES E. USS CISCO (SS 290) WAS LOST WITH 76 OFFICERS AND MEN.
