From 1941 to June 1942, Gunnery Officer, base supply ship, sea plane in the Caribbean. In July 1942, Amphibious Force, artillery flight, parachute landings in Morocco. On November 8, 1942, Commanding Officer of support ships in the Mediterranean Fleet. From December 1942 to March 1945, participated in landings in Sicily, Italy and South France.
